Utilizing a Storage Unit to Assist with Spring Cleaning

As we gear up for Spring, many of us start to think about organizing, cleaning, and remodeling our homes.  A storage unit provides that much needed space for items that we won’t be utilizing during the warmer months and/or items that we need out of the way during a remodel. 

Here are a few things to consider as you get started:

1. Carefully organize, clean, and take inventory of your items prior to placing in a storage unit
2. Utilize plastic totes and/or label your bins/boxes for easy recognition
3. Stack vertically when needed, line the walls with bins/boxes creating a path for easy access
4. Place large/heavy items in the back and frequently needed items towards the front
5. Consider keeping a small step stool in your storage unit to assist with stacking/moving items
